Heather earned her doctorate of physical therapy at the University of South Alabama. Previously, she obtained a bachelors of science in kinesiology with specialization in exercise physiology and a minor in psychology from Auburn University.
Heather has experience with a wide range of orthopedic diagnoses from local high school athletes to geriatric patients. She is also specially trained in vestibular therapy and can treat conditions such as vertigo. She enjoys working with patients with special needs and volunteers at a summer and fall camp for adults with special needs.
Heather was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama and lived in Auburn with her husband until a recent move to Wake Forest. Her husband, Andrew Smith, is the Parks and Recreation Director in Youngsville. In her spare time Heather enjoys playing soccer, basketball, golf and spending time with her family outdoors.
