Orthopedic Physical Therapy is proud to have participated in the 2014 Northern Wake Relay for Life on May 16-17, 2014. Our staff was represented all night at the Heritage High stadium – walking laps to benefit the American Cancer Society from 6:00 pm Friday through Saturday morning. Our team raised nearly $4,000 in donations and won the Best Team Spirit Award for the event! Ortho PT was also the presenting sponsor of the first Marga-Relay-Ville 5k on May 17, where runners ran around the high school campus to raise funds for cancer research. We had a great time meeting new people and stretching athletes after the run.
May has been a busy month at Ortho PT! On Saturday, May 3 we participated in the annual Meet in the Street festival with other area businesses, food vendors and crafters. We had the perfect weather for this busy & fun event!
On Mother’s Day, we were a sponsor of the Mother of All Races 5k & 10k in Wakefield. More than 400 runners participated, raising funds for the Pretty in Pink Foundation. It was another great morning stretching runners and meeting new members of our local community. Our last event of the month is participating the Body Shop employee health fair on May 21 providing 10 minute massages and expert PT advice. Phew, we’re pooped!
